One of the strategic reasons why our Games will be held in the City of Bath is to set robust foundations to develop more sports opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities in the South West region of England.
A clear legacy outcome we aim to achieve is to establish new Special Olympics clubs in the South West area to bring the far reaching benefits of sport training and competition to as many children and adults with intellectual disabilities who currently may have little opportunity to take part in sports.
